We had a family many years ago in our church who had alot of children. When their newest baby was born they brought her to church the first Sunday she was home. At the end of the service, they packed up all the kids and drove home. Only after they got there did someone finally notice that there was no baby to carry in. Ooops!

Is that much different than what happened in this situation?

You're all right. This is totally inexcusable. This poor man will have to live with this for the rest of his life. I can't even imagine how I could forgive myself if I did something like this. But he doesn't need MY judgment. I just feel so terrible for him. He will be in my prayers.
