USC is about to get hit with NCAA penalties for infractions and will likely suffer in recruiting because of it. USC had a mediocre year and with possible sanctions on the horizon, the future doesn't look too bright for the program.
It's been written that the Seahawks owner is one of the richest owners and will offer a lot more than Carroll would make with USC.
I think Carroll would have gone anyway. But leaving after a mediocre season and with the future in doubt ... it looks bad on Carroll. Too bad, I doubt he'll have the same success as he had with USC. He's more a College HC than NFL HC.
It's all about the money though... Sabin. Carroll. They all have their price.
