And these were not "in the church," but outside of the church. You were beautifully witnessing to them, Praise Jesus for that!

But this is not the same as "excercising authority over men............in the house of the Lord, which is the church of the living God" [ I Tim. 2 & 3]. Besides, their ignorance of a certain Biblical matter does not mean that it's right. But, witnessing on the streets, or in the jungle is NOT the contexts of Paul's epistles regarding Church order.
