Which brings up something I meant to address in my post, but forgot:
Is it
wrong to want proof of things like this? It's impossible to please God without faith, after all. The Bible defines faith in Hebrews as the substance of things hoped for. In a lot of cases, that will be the
only substance you'll ever have of whatever it is you hoped for! It will be the
only evidence of things you will never see!
I suppose God is pleased when people "keep the faith", even through disappointment. And it must frustrate Him (if not infuriate Him) when people trust Him, say, to heal their child, but get all bent out of shape when He doesn't.
