It should be made clear, however, that there is a BIG difference between scrutinizing what someone says and scrutinizing who a person is. The former should be encouraged and the latter discouraged.

Ok let me see if I can make my thoughts clearer.. lol... I agree but what I meant is some people.. honestly it didnt matter if they were speaking in a debate/ scriptural mode or if they were responding to a "fluff" thread... they were attacked just because of who they were and thats when it became ridiculous...I do not think there is a thing wrong with scrutinizing (sp) when someone thinks views are biblically wrong.. not at all! (thats what makes for good discussion.) All I am saying is we dont need attacking of a person for sake of being that person...
