I realize I'm a little touchy about this, but I went round and round with someone else about this months ago, and I'm probably still irritated...
My personal opinion is that a church should state exactly what it believes in its statement of faith, nothing hidden, nothing diluted. If there is something in the church mantra that the church and/or its leadership is either afraid or embarrassed to admit it believes, then that belief needs to be re-evaluated. JMO

Why have the belief if it isn't worth sharing?
