Re: Titans Whup Up On World Headquarters Team

I love the Texans also. When the team was first announced and the logo revealed a year or two before the team actually played a game I bought my kids Texans caps for that Christmas.

I really thought they would be one of those new expansion teams that would come out of the gate very successful and dominate but that was not the case. Instead they almost killed their poor quarterback, David Carr, with a record amount of sacks. I am surprised that guy knows his name by now and can count past two.

I read the St. Louis newspaper article today and they said that the Titans 340 yards rushing on the ground against the Titans in this preseason game would have been the most yards allowed since a 1951 game had it been a regular season one.

It wasn't that one or two Titans had success in the run - all of them did! Every running back from the starter to the third sting and also VY himself with his 35 yard run.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
