Re: Are you more hard on others or yourself?

Ok, so I think I'm going to toss some gas on this then follow that up by lighting the match.

You know what I really think? I think there is a lot of really politically correct posts in this thread. Rhoni, in all honestly I rolled my eyes at this thread. My first thought was it was way too Shrinkish. I mean it would take a licensed councilor to even come up with this crazy question.

but then I start reading the posts and all I can really think is, there sure is a bunch of folk not being really honest with themselves. Rhoni, I am sorry for my initial view. I was wrong. its a good question. Sad think is, most folk just arent being honest with either us or themselves!

PEOPLE PLEASE, there has never been a day when the majority of us have been harder on ourselves than we are on others! Get over it!

This is the nice and polite thing to say. Its politically correct to say that we give others a great pass when we hold ourselves to some high standard.

the fact is, when some idiot cuts you off in traffic, you want to dog cuss them and when you cut someone off in traffic, and they dog cuss you, you want to retaliate!

MOST of us (read almost every single one of us) are staring in our own movie and everyone else is a bit player. When OUR kids say something out of line, generally they HEARD IT FROM US but they get their little bottoms popped... (euphemistically of course)

The idiot next door doesn't cut his grass, and its and eyesore, when the idiot living in our house doesn't cut the grass, its cuz we didn't have time!

PEOPLE PLEASE, every last one of us, cuts ourselves more slack than we do those around us... All these platitudes about being longsuffering with humanity is just us doing our best to make sure the rest of the world cuts us some slack.
