Can you please help me pray about something?
I got a phone call today regarding a job that will be opening up soon (Monday) for a police dispatcher here in our town. This person was asking if I am interested in the position. I am. But it will mean giving up my daycare which I've done for the past 20 years. I will feel like I'll need to help all of my families find someone new to watch their little ones. I know that's not necessary, but I'll still feel that way.
The hours are good (8:00 - 4:30). My boys are old enough to be on their own after school for that 1/2 hour.
The pay is very good. More than I make now!
It will affect my side business of making DVD's for our local funeral home. I would probably have to give that up completely.
All in all, there is alot involved. But I've talked to my neighbor who is on Council. He seems confident that I'd have a very good chance of getting the job if I applied.
The biggest thing is that I want GOD's will in this situation. Please help me to pray that God will open doors if this is His will and slam them shut firmly if it is not.
I can't believe I am applying for a job for the first time in 20 years!! This is so scary!!!
