This is not the part of the spectrum that has been part of the Nashville AMC meeting, the men doing their own camps and youth camps, etc. This is mainstream UPC men that I never thought would consider leaving.

I don't mind saying that I had become part of the "UPC fringe," still in but not active. I know of many like me who are getting out and becoming independent. If this Tulsa meeting continues as it appears, there are men leaving the UPC that I never dreamed would consider it.

My leaving is not an indicator that the UPC will suffer the loss of great numbers. Even Larry Booker's leaving wouldn't indicate that. But some of the men I am hearing about is a horse of a different color.

By the way, all the men I am hearing about pastor substantial size churches as far as the UPC is concerned.

I definitely think the impact will be felt...though I take no pleasure in any of it.
