I did develop a bad habit of saying "friggin'"...not sure how it happened...LOL...I became [more]motivated to correct it when my children started repeating it.

I don't think they're acceptable. I don't make them acceptable for myself. That's not to say I've never said something I shouldn't. We all do...probably...if we aren't careful. I find that certain words come to mind more quickly when I've exposed myself to media that uses those words. Garbage in garbage out?

No...what's in your heart will determine whether or not you choose to speak something or squelch the thought and choose something better.  Lots of things can pop into our mind...it's what we do with those thoughts that will show Who's in charge.
