The 14th Amendment, and settled federal precedent, has applied the Bill of Rights to the states. With the federal govt claiming jurisdiction over just about all RKBA issues, and with State firearms laws having been reviewed by SCOTUS already (Heller, etc) a SCOTUS justice's view on the Second Article of the BOR is extremely important.
Kavanaugh does not appear to be BOR friendly.
