Did Dr. K. get the death penalty? When LEO's kill the wrong person, do they get the death penalty? Are abortionist given the death penalty? When doctors unintentionally cause death, are they given the death penalty?

That's the rub. Why would the local drug dealer knowingly kill their customers-- or even put their flow of cash (the lives of their consumers) in jeopardy?
Why not focus on the people bringing the drugs into the country? Because it would be much easier to execute the small-time guy. Let's execute the government officials who are making it possible for the large-scale drug dealers to be successful. Then again, why are we even talking about killing drug dealers in the first place? Other countries have found very effective ways of dealing with the drug problem. Why can't we follow their lead?
