hmm, you're asking the wrong guy in a sense, as i am not a scholar, and the question is obviously pretty loaded for us, in this time; we hear all the things that we might condemn Mohammed (pbuh) with, which is pretty easy, being from a different culture; but we rarely hear the testimony from his peers to the effect that he never seemed to lose his patience with his flock, etc...and perhaps the right guy, in another sense, as i have lived among Muslims, and have seen Christ reflected in them.
They are just people--a pretty oppressed people at the moment--and have wheat as well as tares, too. I think what Scripture says about Ishmael--that he will be great, and is meant to contend with us, because of our sin--may be applied to them; although this is contested, i guess.
So, one will find what they seek, and this will define their heart to God, for judgement; which is most likely the point.
