Having said that, I would not go unless it was no more than a 20 min drive. He will be at the SoCal camp meeting and I won't be going on the day he preaches for two reasons. I don't want to endure HMH or some other crazy stuff and honestly it's a crazy drive to get there.
They totally jacked up how we do camp meetings and sectional events in SoCal. Every Camp meeting is in Orange County and it's a 2 hour drive that takes 3 and a half hours because of traffic.
I know people that have left at 2 and got there just before the end of the preaching.

I wonder if you could get a cheap OC hotel on Priceline? Might be tough since summer and prime Disney vacation time. If you could you could go really early and relax in the hotel until service time.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
