What I do mourn is that the UPC has changed very little over time. Somehow, being frozen in the 1950's became the bar of acceptance. Refusing to accept new technology in entertainment has put them more and more out of touch with society as a whole. Small differences of opinion on doctrine and extra-biblical issues became more and more intolerable as the years have gone by.
It appears things are beginning to change a little as the "old guard" is passing on, but it has a long way to go! It may be too little too late! They have lost a generation of their best and brightest potential leaders, IMO.

I don't agree with the UPC belief on dress standards, but I do believe they're right on technology and entertainment. The older I get, the less I can stand for what passes as entertainment today. Movies and television programs are a continuous assault on the nuclear family and values which used to be held in respect.
A few years ago I cut off cable tv. I'm close to doing the same with Netflix.
