Not only is it the "norm", but I can tell you of
UPCI organizational officials that have 60 inch screens hanging on their wall with cable or satellite - NOT hearsay - I have seen it with my own eyes! It it no longer hidden in the closet! For those pastors that don't actually have a "TV" - they subscribe to NetFlix and/or Hula.
I personally do not have a TV in my home (well I have a "TV", but we get no channels and use it only for very generic type DVDs and videos) - this is just a decision that our family has made for ourselves.
Some of the ministry seem to pick and choose which "suggestions" of the AOF that they wish to preach from their pulpit and/or enforce in their congregations.
