A lot of generalizations and stereotypes have a kernel of truth to them, so unless they're inherently offensive, I still don't get the reaction.
IMO, you read Austin's post as casting aspersions on Whitney being a good SINGER for a "black lady" and responded accordingly--but that would be a completely different argument.
I'm not defending the ignorance of racist remarks; I'm just pointing out that it didn't seem particularly malicious, so why flip out? And you don't need to turn your claws on me just for asking that question.
