Hmmmm....It is possible.
My family was out that way a number of years back. In fact, I remember Syracuse and its single stoplight very well. We lived at the top of the hill by the airport. I think there were two or three other houses at the end of the street in that direction. Going down the hill you passed the library (my favorite place), a large church with bells that could be heard anywhere in town (or so it seemed), and at the the bottom of the hill was Highway 50, the Doghouse, and the stoplight. I believe there was also a pizza parlor next door to the movie theater if I remember correctly. As I said, many years ago. I would have been 10 when we arrived and 11-12 when we left.
I do remember some of the other things as well. I know that we were an hour from anywhere that was somewhere and not a wheat field.

We had to shop in Garden City for food once a month. I remember our time there as a place where it was great to be a kid. Everyone knew everything, and had everyone's phone number in their rolodex. (My younger brother found that out the hard way, but that is another story).
Monterrey, would you tell me more of what you remember of our time there, and how you knew us? It would interest me very much.
