May be small, but it's getting bigger and bigger.
Example: when women began wearing pants on a regular basis in this country (I think I've seen that being sometimes after WW2), it became even more imperative that Apostolic women continue to wear dresses. As men began to get piercings, it became more imperative that Apostolic men not get them.
The more drastic our culture gets in their dress and behavior, the more drastic Apostolic dress standards will
appear. Notice I said "appear", not become.
What required only minor differences in biblical times, requires major differences today. The Jews knew the difference between a man's and a woman's robe. Today, the requirement for distinction in this area is pants and dresses, because the world has made it such, not the Church.
That is why I'm
most impressed by those who have not given up their dress standards even though they may
appear extreme. They are simply showing -- without changing a single thing -- how much more immodest the world is getting.
