Churches And W-2 Forms.

In my area ,there is a denominational church that supposedly has their members turn in their W-2 forms , to make sure their members are paying their tithes .
This church is definitely not a Pentecostal church by any means , it is a cessationalist fundamentalist type of church.
But should Pastors require their membership to turn their W-2 forms to prove their giving of the tenth ?

Not in a million years would I ever ask that. That is insulting and demeaning to the saints.

Scott, I seriously doubt if this is really true. They've told this on us more than once and it's ridiculous. I cannot imagine any pastor doing something so invasive, but it's possible.

I've never heard of this particular practice, however, there is a LARGE church in my city that BILLS the membership for their tithe!

OOPS! Forgot to mention....NOT a Pentecostal church, either.

sorry for any possible implied harshness in my saying this, but...

I can not see a good outcome in EVEN ASKING this.

ps: If I am missing an alternate online persona that is a subtle pot-stirrer, my apologies in advance for being so out-of-the-loop.

Perhaps asking about this was not in good taste, but I meant no harm,as I was only curious as to what others thought about this.
