Question concerning an evangelist & pastor

I happened to know a certain evangelist that post here some and a pastor that posts here some are suppose to be in revival and they have been sight seeing. They are dining in nice resturants and went sight seeing yesterday and today? What think ye?

They probably consider it visitation!

Speaking of which, I saw a pastor and an evangelist you know at lunch Sunday... and the pastor invited me to miss my home church to come hear the Original JE Burgess preach... the pastor was young Jon Hair.:)

Of course, being a loyal saint, I declined although I would have loved to hear Josh's dad preach.

I say good for them, especially if a rich board member is picking up the tab.

He's 81, just had two knee replacements this summer (six weeks apart, the last one just over a month ago), and he just drove nearly six hours, preached the weekend, then drove nearly six hours home. THAT is the old breed!

And...he can still preach like a house afire!

I bet it is kinda hard to keep a train of thought running when people are constantly dousing you with water.....I ain't 81, and sometimes I can't do that!

A pastor and an evangelist should have time to be together. I don't think I'm understanding what you are asking here Elder.

You make it sound like they're dating. :wacko

I don't see anything wrong in taking a guest to the local sights while he's in town preaching for you. If you like his preaching, hospitality just might be the way to get him to come back. :)

Driving through the mountains instead of praying and eating prime rib and steak instead of fasting. Heaven help us.

I think you're teasing. :)

I know my Dad would usually take evangelists and their wives out, and maybe take them to local attractions...especially if they had kids. Or, we would have them over to our home for dinner and dessert and play games.
