My nephew Cody is in the hospital
I don't have many details at this time, but my mother just told me that my nephew Cody had some sort of seizure and was taken to the hospital. Apparently he wasn't responding to anyone around him, so please pray for my sister and her son at this time.

Re: My nephew Cody is in the hospital
He's back home now, feeling better. All he remembers is blacking out. The doctors couldn't determine what caused it, so they plan to go to Iowa City for further analysis. Thank you greatly for your prayers.

Just now saw this prayer request, and I'm thankful to hear that he has recovered, and will continue to pray the doctors can find out what caused the seizure!

So far, no new news on this matter. Thankfully, he hasn't had any more seizures, though we still don't know what brought it on. Thank you all for your prayers.

Im so glad to see hes better. God is good. I always responded to seizures that had already happened in EMS....there is this weird seizure preshow that can happen when all of a sudden they just seem off...maybe they say something in the converstion that doesnt make sense because that altered mental status is getting revved up. The only one I saw like that was with a friend I was visiting with in Charlotte...we were sitting outside by ourselves talking and he said something that didnt quite make sense and before I could ask him what he meant he was convulsing..had to grab him to keep his head from hitting concrete and it had been a couple years since I was working in EMS and there was no one in earshot to help and I couldnt get up to grab my phone because I was holding him in safe position...if it freaked me out that bad I can only imagine what it was doing to your nephews family. Again really glad to hear that he is better and please keep us updated. |
