Mormons

My husband and I decided to put up a privacy fence. He was outside working on it last night and a couple of Mormon guys stopped by and asked if he needed any help. He said "Sure!" so they brought four guys over tonight! Wow! They are making quick work of it! My husband can handle some Mormon preaching. I'm sure he'll preach right back! Anyway, I'm thankful for the help and it's good to talk to them too.

LOL! Oh, very funny!

Actually some Mormon guys came over last year and we set up an appt to meet at my house. I told them flat out that I had no interest in their church and that I would be happy to discuss the scriptures with them. They came. Only once though. ;)

They need Jesus. Help them.

It's amazing how similar their logic is in submitting to authority as apostolics. Very, very similar.

I have a very good friend who is Mormon. She was born and raised in it and is raising her family in it. We agreed long ago that we will agree to disagree and therefore, not discuss it. I understand that I am not going to change her mind. And I know for sure there is no way in the world I could fall for their malarchy! I do however enjoy using their libraries for my genealogical research.

My daughter has had a number of good Mormon friends. They are some really good people. (At least the devout ones are!) ;)

I agree. Marie and her husband would put many "Christian" people to shame when it comes to family values. I used to hire her daughter to babysit when our boys were small. Even at 13, she was the best babysitter we ever had. I've learned alot of things about parenting from Marie.

Yes, my husband told those "boys" that he respects a lot about their church. And we do and always have. They do have some great values. But, yes, there is an awful lot of hooey in their church too. I also have an uncle who has been a Mormon for years and years.

Boy, have you got that right!! Back when Marie and I did attempt to discuss her religion (on occasion), I never did figure out what in the world they believe regarding who Jesus is. To me that is fundamental. She danced all around it but never committed one way or the other.

In my book, if you don't even know who JESUS is, then the rest of whatever you believe must be hogwash.
