New songs?
Do any churches here (or individuals, for that matter) compose or write new songs for worship? Or revamp old songs in a new way for worship?
I am wondering how much of the church's music these days is indigenous vs imported from 'the worship music industry'. |
Re: New songs?
I write my own songs, but don't use them as much as I should. I'd really love to get them recorded, but I can't write music; and when I reached out to a local recording studio, they quoted me $2k per song to write and compose it for me. I don't find that unreasonable, I just can't afford it. :/

Yeah, I just wish I could write music. I really should try and learn that. I used to be able to read music, but I haven't practiced it in ~27 years.

Re: New songs?
I have "written" several songs although I don't play any instrument nor can I read sheet music. I just sing what's in my head and let a guitarist put the chords, etc. Right now, I'm working on turning memory verses into songs. :-)
