They have no shame
 

I was wondering how low could preachers go in their fleecing gullible Christians of their money. I have seen and heard all kinds of shenanigans in my many years in the ministry.

They sold them prayer cloths, holy Jordan river water, blessed roses and an infinite number of useless trinkets and junk.

Then they started getting people indebted by putting their faith offerings in their credit cards and even helping them filling out loan forms.

They have been very creative in their efforts, Well they have now hit a new low.

Today in the morning one of the radio preacher was telling her listeners that they should prove their faith by giving the money for their rent or bills as offerings to her ministry.

Today late in the afternoon another preacher was telling people to sell whatever items they had in their house and give the proceedings to his ministry.

Will these money grubbing preachers never stop?
I do not think so, they will probably ask the homeless with zero belongings to give blood and then donate the proceedings to their ministry.

These preachers have no shame at all.

Especially the ones that demand one tenth of a believers income for the rest of their life!

I guess they ignore this passage of the Apostle Paul when he said:

1 Cor. 9:18-19 "What is my reward then? Verily that when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more."

Great verse!

That's why I believe that 10% is such a small amount compared to what God has given me.

He's given us ... Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding"

Therefore with that kind of man in my life I have no problem being a cheerful giver.

I agree, that is why I teach people to only give the tithe and an offering according to their heart. That is it and no more. I have never been a begging preacher and I certainly do not appreciate those begging preachers.

Any preacher who keeps on asking for more besides these two things is not a man of god in my book, but a mercenary, a thief, a robber, a crook, a criminal and so on and on.

I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever ask any Christian go into debt with their credit cards or to take out a loan nor pull any other greedy stunt on them.

The blessing and heavenly reward comes when we volunteer our services to the Lord.
Those that take tithes have their reward every week.
