People who have a gender reveal, don't generally request presents. The invitations normally read, "Your presense is the only gift requested."

My youth pastor had one of these and they arranged it so neither he nor his wife new what gender the baby was until they cut into the cake. They were both hoping for a boy. They got a boy... It was fun... there weren't any gifts that I was aware of.
