Christian Reconstructionism:
Here's an interesting list of information concerning those who believe in Christian Reconstructionism:
If they gained control of the US or Canadian federal government, there would be many changes:I could see Christians pushing for a degree of *Theonomy after a massive collapse of civilization to establish some kind of order in society. However, I don't think it's a worthy political agenda. What are some of your thoughts on Christian Reconstructionism? * Theonomy means literally, “God’s law,” or the belief that the moral laws of the Old Testament are still binding today. |
Re: Christian Reconstructionism:
I shudder to think of a Christian theocracy. Which of the thousands of Christian sects would make the laws, the Roman Catholics? The Mormons? The Baptists? It would be very very oppressive no matter who was in power, with infighting between the sects, much like we see in Islam today.
God help us never to be ruled by a religion. |

And so here we are: sodomite marriage, transgenderism, transhumanism, blatant unrestrained in-your-face corruption at practically ALL levels of society, marriage and family blown out of the water, mass hysterical stupidity, etc etc etc. Yep, sure glad we don't live in a Bible-based society. :spit |

Basically, it would end up being a revival of Catholic power and authority. We've been down this route before. The "holy" authorities murdered over 68 million who would not bow to the Pope, the Trinitarian dogma, and who claimed to have supernatural gifts such as tongues, visions, dreams, etc. |
Re: Christian Reconstructionism:
If we embraced the true spirituality of biblical Christianity, we'd be a people of spiritual influence and power. But instead, we're grabbing for earthly, carnal, political power and this has rendered us spiritually powerless.
We must realize that we are in the world and not of it. |

Re: Christian Reconstructionism:
Every experiment that dealt with Religious rule has ended in complete disaster. Constantine and Rome, Cromwell, Shiria law, all have ended bad.
Jesus said, My Kingdom is not of this world. It is in this world but not of this world. We are not here to be pursuing a political agenda but to be ambassadors of the Church government. This is a great time to be living as a representative for Jesus, souls are searching and seeking Truth. |
