What I'll say here depends completely on the allegations against Alabama and if the NCAA starts an investigation against them. Yahoo Sports had a very detailed report of players getting cash money at Bama. Gotta love the $EC. If nothing happens with that, Saban will stay. Sorry, shorthorns, but he's going to make $48 mil in 8 years; and he's still under contract until 2019. He's currently making $5.62mil, and gets a minimum $100,000 annual raise every year from now to 2019. I believe his contract has a buyout...and even UT wouldn't be able to pay it. It's just not going to happen.....UNLESS the NCAA brings the boom on Bama. Texas can offer the $7 or $8 mil I've heard bantered about...but Bama's ready to exceed that and even go to $10 mil if need be. I don't see this happening. A more likely scenario would be Charlie Strong being hired by UT. |

“Quite frankly,” Saban said, “I’m just too **** old to start over somewhere else.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...to-start-over/ |
