I'm new and I have a question
 

My name is Jim and I returned to church and was saved about a year ago. I have been playing electric bass for almost 30 years and have been playing on the platform now for about 6 months. My question is that I frequently get quite animated in my worship and praise while playing. My Pastor and music director seem to like it but I am wondering if I might be inhibiting worship more than leading it and I would not want anything I do to take away from the work of the spirit. So what do you think. I have prayed mightily over this issue and I feel like the Lord is telling me to let go but fear is still holding me back.

If your pastor has no problem then there should be no problem.
Everything we do should be done decently and in order. If your pastor thought it was out of order he would tell you. Apparently your worship is in order!

When I'm worshiping God, Im not looking at the bass player.....

He told you to let go of what?

I say just about every Apostolic service could use the addition of a few great bass riffs! Go for it! :)
