The Doctor Is In

In the grand tradition of "Dear Rhoni," I am hanging out my shingle and am open for business.

If you are suffering and need a spiritual prescription, or perhaps a good check up, we accept walk-ins, and most kinds of insurance.

The doctor is in.

No competition.

My practice deals with a totally different class of patient, and totally different ailments, from a diametrically opposite perspective.

A well-known UPC preacher who doesn't know me told me recently that I am carrying a heavy load...burdened. Part of my burden is for the lost world and the awesome task set before us to reach them before He returns. Of course there are other things associated with church leadership (not a pastor)and personal things. What say ye doc?

You had to go and get serious on me...

Well, here you are:

Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat 11:30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light

Weariness associated with a burden is only remedied by drawing closer to Jesus.

Proximity is the issue.

"Come unto me," He says, and rest will be yours.

Remember that only Jesus is the Saviour--not us.
