Not really.

Right away, I think of education and NASA-- that's without reading the reference.

As far as civil rights, labor laws, and other measures to protect all of our citizenry, the governments involvement was absolutely necessary. Even still, a government unchecked can go to far, making the good bad and the bad worse.

NASA and our education system both require copious amounts of cash. So does our natiojnal highways interstate system.
