World Gone Mad
12 year old boy turns into a girl. Is there no limit to this madness? Only in Britain...

What kind of parents would allow something like this?? Breaks my heart. This child will be tormented the rest of his (and will always be he in God's eyes) life.

"Cruel taunts and bullying" - in the British schools? Who ever heard of that?
Ya know, when I saw the headline this morning I just stayed away. I didn't want to think about it... but now that I have... ??? What underlying medical conditions exist here that would cause the British doctors to feel they should go ahead with a "sex swap?" And remember, "The Sun" - and most British papers are keen to leave out important facts in just about every news story. Could we be looking at a case similar to the South African runner? One that was caught at the start of puberty and thus a medical intervention is warranted? I really don't think an 11 or 12 year old, even in England, could just show up at a clinic and announce that they had a sexual preference that they would like us all to respect. There's gotta be some underlying medical issues. But the real issue for The Sun is to sell those papers and get those web hits. Do whatever it takes. |

Besides that was in the Sun right? That paper is kindof a cross between the New York Post and the National Enquirer. I wouldnt take much I read in it very seriously. |

In related news... " (September 17, 2009) - Caster Semenya, the world champion South African track star, has been diagnosed as a hermaphrodite after gender tests showed that Semenya has no ovaries or uterus, according to a report from Australia’s {Sydney Daily Telegraph.} Semenya won the gold medal in the 800 meters at the 2009 World Championships in athletics with a time of 1:55.45 in the final before questions were raised about her gender. Two Australian newspapers reported that gender tests revealed Semenya to have internal testes that produce large amounts of testosterone, which may explain her alleged deep voice and what some call, masculine build. Those issues, coupled with Semenya’s mark for the fastest time of the year after she ran in the World Championships, caused major concern from the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF). Experts are now attempting to decide whether Semenya should be allowed to race as a woman, particularly because of the publicity the case has received. With original doubts revolving around the possible use of drugs, Semenya’s diagnostic is common place to doctors. "It's no different in a sense than a youngster who is born with a hole in the heart," Dr. Myron Genel, professor emeritus of pediatrics at Yale University, said. "These are in fact birth defects in an area that a lot of people are uncomfortable with."" http://www.afro.com/tabId/551/itemId...-Hermaphr.aspx http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...-23289,00.html So, if the docs can fix such a defect at... say the age of 12 and not put it off - wouldn't that be a good thing? |
