Prayer for myself this time!
 

Not sure where to start to explain my request for prayer - it has been a long six weeks of tests and doctors visits. I go to cancer specialist tomorrow for his official recommendation/diagnosis. It started as an incidental finding of an enlarged lymph node off the vena cava (which to my understanding is near the kidneys). Due to the location of the lymph node additional CT scans were performed to see if there were other enlarged nodes and consultation with a surgeon for possible laparoscopic biopsy. The biopsy is not an option without a major extensive surgery to get to it. The decision was then made for a whole body PET scan which I had yesterday. Tomorrow I go for the results of everything that has been done. The worst case scenario is of course lymphoma. I am not one that is sick or has ever had any serious health issues. My husband is disabled and I care for him and my parents are aging and will need help at some point. I need to remain healthy, however, I do know that God is in control and He can see further down the road than I can.

Please remember me in your prayers that this will be something simple and that I will get good results.

I believe that God can and will heal. I am trusting and believing that He will work it for his glory and will give me the strength to face whatever is before me.

After the consultation yesterday, I am still in a holding pattern. While the PET scan did not show that the enlarged lymph node was cancerous a definite diagnosis will not be made just yet. Also my liver function studies are all abnormal. I am to return in 1 month for follow up visit and repeat lab then in 2 months they will repeat the CT abdomen to see if the lymph node has enlarged. If it has enlarged at all then they want to do the surgery to remove it and test it for definitive diagnosis.

While the results are promising I am still really nervous about the possibility of such a major surgery.

Please continue to remember me in prayer that God will "shrink" or remove this thing and all will be well.

God is able and I am believing Him to do a complete work.

Sis. TCovey,

I don't always see all of the threads as we have been super busy but
want you to know I have seen it and am praying for you. I pray God will
see fit to completely remove any trace of the problem. I do know that
God does not want to hurt any of us. I will be in touch with you. My
three sisters and I have a weekend trip this weekend so I have to finish
getting ready. Just wanted you to know I will be praying for you.
