Just needing some prayer :)
 

Life has been so crazy...I haven't been on here for several months.

But I needed some prayer so I thought I would turn to you all.

My husband and I had "adopted" one of the young men from our youth group at church.
Today he left to be sworn in tonight for the Marines and tomorrow he will leave for bootcamp.
There is an empty spot in my heart knowing I won't get to see him at least
3x a week at church for 3 months.

My request is not only for my family but for our youth group, Derek was leader in our group and he will be greatly missed....also for Derek, that God will give him strength to face whatever he has to go thru.

He was passionate about going to the Marines...that didn't make it easier for me to let him go, not that I had any say, but he felt this was a mission that he was called for by God.
