A Cry from the heart of midnight....

"When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to that Rock that is Higher than I".
I have had those words that David penned going over and over in my mind all day today.
Today has been a very hard, dark day for us.
This morning Bro Hennigan, my Pastor, told the church that while at MD Anderson Cancer hospital this week that they gave him very bad news.
The cancer is spreading and they have strongly recommended he begin strong rounds of chemo.
He opted to do a diet for the last 5 months that was supposed to "detox" his body and kill the cancer.
Herein lies the problem...
He is so very weak. He is down to skin and bones and if you saw him, those that know him, you would just weep.

He has no appetite and because he is so weak...they are not sure if he can even handle the level of weakness he will go to when the chemo begins.

Today he and Sis Hennigan left for Houston and he starts the chemo in the morning.
It was very somber service this morning. Many folks went to him after as he sat...and just cried and hugged him.

My Brethren.... We are desperate...
It is the Midnight hour for The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy.
Having said that...I FULLY understand that is always darkest right before the dawn.

Tonight at midnight we start a full week of round the clock prayer chain at the church....

PLEASE....help us..as we plead to God for a healing touch.

We know hes able......

Thanks Guys....in advance.

We need our Pastor!!!!!!!

Please help us pray this week for Pastor and Sister Hennigan.
Two of the finest Christians I know.

I hate cancer. My heart is heavy reading this. I will be praying for Pastor Hennigan and the family, both physical and church family.

Tell him to take the treatment with prayer, the whole diet thing is a farce and research shows that it doesn't work. Sorry to hear about this, will pray for him today.
