Pastor's wife diagnosed with cancer
 

I am asking everyone to pray for Sis Versie Leach.

She had been having problems, and finally went to the doctor.

Without going into a lot of details, upon "going in" they discovered cancer, and did not proceed.

I believe Sis Versie has opted not to have treatment.

This is a great family.

Please remember this sister, her husband (Bro Logan, the pastor), and the church family.

We do not attend their church since we do not live in the area, but they are family and dear friends to us.

These folks are such dear people.

Bro Logan began a building project back a few months ago.

What was to be a minor addition, has become a major building project.

They are now building a new sanctuary, more SS rooms, and a fellowship hall.

Bro Logan (the pastor) is 70 yrs old, and he is doing all of this work with the help of 2 sons, and 2 SIL's.
The younger men can only help on the weekends, but Bro Logan works as hard as he can, and does all he can do throughout the week.
The church is currently siding, and they are bricking the entire facility now.
They encountered some flooding, and the original part of the church has had to be remodeled, along with building the new part, (will be purchasing new pews).
Sis Versie stays right out there with Bro Logan, although she can't do any of the work, she keeps an eye on him, to make sure he does not get hurt.


Sis Alvear I knew you would enjoy reading about their project.
I talked to Bro Logan last Sat. (before they found out about the cancer), and he had such good things to say about the Alvears.

I will be calling them this week to offer our services in any way.
