My Church is the Only One That is Right
 

How can people come up with this statement and believe it themselves?

1. Your church has been around less than 100 years.
2. Only you and the 10,00 people in your Diocese know about your church.
3. What about those who will never hear about your church? Will they be lost too?
4. Why doesn't the Bible mention anything about your church?

Are you saying that kind of thinking is spewed from the pulpit, and it is adopted by the membership?

Personally, if it were me, they could say it, but I wouldn't believe it.

There is nothing wrong with saying your Church is the True Church if it is true. But if you deny others who also are then you err.

If you are telling folks that they can't get to heaven unless they go through your church then you are still saying your church is the ONLY one that is right.

If you are saying that the teaching you receive there is true... great! We all hope that it is! However, boxing Jesus into one very small church/denomination is wrong.

It is simple. Everyone believes they are correct and that they are heaven bound. Truth is that NO ONE church is going to be in heaven. Not all Apostolics, Catholics, or what have you will be there. If Gog only wants 1 segiment of believers in heaven the He would be contradicting himself. His grace is sufficent and if only one segiment walk through the pearly gates then His grace might not be as sufficent as He states. The great thing is that His grace IS sufficent and it washes away ALL sins! Glory to God!

Everyone has an idea of who's going to "make it" to Heaven. If some of the folks on AFF are right, Heaven will be very sparsely populated. But I suppose they think they're right, and if only .0001% of the humans that ever lived are in Heaven, well, that's the breaks.

Of course, the same could be said of most Christians. Just change the percentage. Anything less than 100% is exclusivist, to some degree. (I'm not saying it is or isn't 100%, by the way. I'm just sayin'. ;))
