PAW & Bishop Jones Update
 

I spoke to a PAW District Elder friend of mine last night.
He called me to tell me that his church and another PAW
church in his city Merged. it was the first time in the
history of that city.

Anyhow, He told me that Jones DID NOT leave PAW
Afterall !!!! He decided to stay BUT!!! they are having
a conference at the end of June called "Manifesto" for
leaders of PAW to talk about changes and the direction
of the PAW. An open forum session held at his church in Los Angeles.
Of course we all know that Jones is pushing for making
PAW more
modern.

I might add that Braizer did indeed leave. He believes
in "once saved always saved" so i was told

should be interesting !

Braizer-Jones-others have nearly destroyed the PAW. Haywood-Tobin-Smith-Lee must be rolling over in their graves.

I say if Jones is going to be a destructive influence in the PAW they should just let him leave. There must be NO compromise on the core doctrines.

Could the same be said of the founders of the UPC, ALJC, McDonalds, Wendy's and Whataburger? Come on elder...change is always going to happen when you are talking about adapting the methods to the culture. That is the key is methods matching culture.

Methods are not the issue, it is doctrine. Methods change and appeal changes from one culture to another, doctrine however is absolute, and when it changes one has entered into apostasy.

Adapting methods is one thing. Changing core doctrines is another.

I don't see how anyone could look at the divisiveness taking place in the PAW and think it's mainly a debate over methods rather than doctrine.
