Do You Have Something in Common W/Snake Handlers?

Do You Have Something in Common W/Snake Handlers?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't snake handlers do what they do because they believe God will protect them from the poison of deadly things?

Have you ever met someone who thinks they can handle anything "poisonous" without fear of harm?

They do so because they think they are strong enough to play with "snakes."

I wonder what percentage of snake handlers die?

In common? The only thing I know is that the snake handlers of Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama all seem to preach an Acts 2:38 message.

I have tried and tried to talk Elder Epley into taking me to visit a snake handling church here in TN or in neighboring KY.

He grew up in Kentucky and I know he knows where some are.

My only stipulation is I have to sit near the door or where they want a new door in case one of those snakes gets too close to me.

I have nothing in common with snake handlers, when I see a snake I kill it. Especially copperheads.

Yea and Amen.

I agree with the Russian that worked for me for a while... He informed me in broken English, "Good snake, bad snake, I all uv'en kill!"

I don't know why I find this funny but I'm giggling just the same.

My hair has never turned around and bitten me yet... I don't suppose I have much in common with snack handlers, aside from the ones who preach the same message Peter preached.

This was too funny a typo for me to delete. I think I'm tired, everything's suddenly funny.

When I was a little boy, living outside of Tulsa, we used to catch tarantulas by pouring water down their holes and waiting for them to float to the top.

We never considered the danger. We were too fascinated with them.

I caught a tarantula once and took it to Science class. Way cool. Tarantulas don't scare me.

I don;t know if it's true, but I've heard the North American breed is not poisonous.
