fruit of the spirit
 

isn't it neat how someone can read the same scripture dozens of times and than one day see it clearly?

Gal. 5:22-23 But the fruit of the spirit is love,joy,peace,longsuffering,kindness,goodness,fau thfulness,gentleness,self-control. Against such there is no law.

i was reading this today and noticed that there are not 9 fruits of the spirit, but just one fruit that contains these 9 characteristics. isn't that neat?

Fruit = culminatination or end result.

The end result of the Spirit's work is love, joy, peace, longsuffering......

Ah yes, the completed work of Christ in our lives brings forth all of the characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit.

It IS amazing how a big, but missed, detail can suddenly jump out at you after years. Something similar happened while reading the few versus concerning the story of the talents and especially the servant who buried his....
