The Validity of Salvation

There are many different theories
among Christians and even them written about in the bible
as to exactly how one obtains the Salvation of God.

How do you validate which one is the correct one?

1"Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. 2In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you.

i think this passage indicates that there is no "correct one" from a human standpoint; and there are other passages that corroborate this.

How did you validate this as being the truth?

Re: The Validity of Salvation

well, by testing God, of course; i stepped off of the cliff, and God caught me. I was doing my best to disprove God, but just could not make Scripture of no effect. I know that explanation is rather nebulous, and i apologize, but explaining the mechanics of it would hardly suffice any better. I guess i can try, though; briefly, i was a successful insurance agent, like $1500 a week for 30 hours work, and came to see how insurance insulates people from God, and so i quit and started volunteering full time. So then i lost everything, of course--all of the "essential" things that...insulate one from God :lol

Sin insulates you from God. Is it a sin to have anything that
insulates you from God?

Isn't this self evident?

Just do what Jesus and his apostles said to do, and you'll get what they said you'll get.

amen! Although i have yet to meet a religionist who has left their life, no extra clothes or wallet, in search of God, to their families' chagrin. Doesn't mean they don't exist though.

I doubt if you met one you would know it.

hmm. you might be right there. i have met some, but they were all heretics. I wonder if the Apostles were all married, or some single, or what? Can't think of a single ref in this area, hmm.

Re: The Validity of Salvation

All those who are Fathered by God
have the same exact Spirit as God.

Hence why Jesus said to them...

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

They are the Spirit of God.

All those who are fathered by the devil
have the same exact spirit as the devil.

They are the spirit of the devil.

Hence why Jesus said to them...

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil,
and the lusts of your father ye will do.

i think it is dangerous to assume conclusions such as this, in light of if you then, being evil..., spoken by Christ to an Apostle. If it is the Father's will that all might come to salvation, this also seems to run counter to this conclusion. Even for the elect, there is apparently a learning curve, or process, to be experienced. We come from darkness, and must take steps toward light.

How has this worked out for you so far?

Re: The Validity of Salvation

:lol well, i honestly still seek the joy of the Lord, at least in a sense, but i am pretty content. No one reading this would like my life, surely, but i trust God, and all of my needs are somehow met. People are putting money in my pockets while I'm asleep--because i would refuse it when awake--offering me cars and houses that i don't want, etc., and it is hard to gauge if it is pity or attempting to justify their MO by sucking me back in, and of course one cannot just ask such things. I get phone calls like "hey, can you come..." and I'm on one now, in fact, so I'm not being avoided.

But it is hard being at odds with everyone else's cultural norms, for sure. I have learned to acquiesce, and eat the poisoned food offered in silence, etc, suffer through the movie or whatever, and i am plateaued and still struggling in areas, but i would not go back.

You would surely describe me as a vagabond, lest i give any false impressions here; bum does not really fit, as i will put a new roof on for you, etc, but people find me frustrating, although their answers as to why strike me as codependent, "you just aren't like us" kind of stuff. Who wants to be that guy all the time, lol.
