Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
By the time most of you will read this he will be finished, but this pastor is preaching 24 hours straight! He is taking some breaks from time to time, but he is still going strong! He is preaching about "The Sun Stand Still" his new book. You might think it is a ploy to drum up sales. While sales will no doubt come from this I have been listening a while. As I write this he is in hour 13 of preaching and he is bringing it. He is not a typical "pentecostal' style, but he is bringing the heat for sure!
http://www.elevationchurch.org/ You all should check it out. Not only is he preaching 24 hours straight but doing so in a suit and tie....ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! I would be in jeans or something that is forsure! This church is only 5 years old and is the top 100 largest churches in America. He is a great minister! |
Re: Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
WOW. Not one other post here. WOW.
So I listed to Steven Furtick tonight via the net while he preached at The DreamCenter in LA. It was powerful and totally awesome. His church is actually the fastest growing church in America. It started with 19 people and now has over 6,000 in just over 4 years. Wow! |

Wow! Great!

Re: Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
Dude can really bring the heat. Thing is that his church does speak in tongues, but it is totally apparent that this man moves in the spirit.

The only thing about his church that makes me queezy is that his music guy acts like he is effeminate... I'm not into the emo/weird hair thingy. |

Re: Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
I watched the first one and I don't get what you are seeing. Dude can so sing though. With all that being said if someone does have a homosexual tendancy doesn't make them a bad person any more than someone with any other sin nature. The key is not to live in that lifestyle no matter what sin nature it is. Again I don't get what you are saying about him.

Re: Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
Infact, the both songs were very moving. They were sang well and we very spiritual.

You didn't offend me so much as make me scratch my head and wonder why you and others say things like this. Is it his hair? This is just a picture of how our "box" has designed the way we view people and the way they dress and such. Just a thought.

Re: Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
Hmmm......I don't see the effeminate thing at all. Very weird hair, but not girly at all in actions. JMHO.
Also, I think he has on a wedding ring. Not that that means anything definite, but it helps.:bliss |
Re: Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
So... It's been a while since anyone posted on this thread so I will revive it a bit.
Pastor Steven preached a great series entitled "Ghost Stories" which is a series about the HS. It was a really great series! If you feel inclinded they can be found at www.elevationchurch.org I have become a big fan of Pastor Furtick. |

Trinitarian. Faith alone. Even beyond that I don't see anything to get excited about. There are many Churches like that.

Re: Steven Furtick @ Elevation Church in NC
Odd Godhead statement...
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority. |

Or maybe that depends upon whether the "worship dude" is the one on the right, or on the left. :heeheehee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4itaN5MhBF0 |
