I started having an odd feeling in my chest and my heart has been fluttering and irregular beating since last night. Wish you all would say a prayer for me. Thanks.

Dear Jesus,

You are our Jehoveh Rophe - you heal inside and out. I ask that the cause of Sis. Alvear's anxiety be relieved. Give her peace and calm in her mind and body.
1. Start at her head, give her pleasant thoughts and calm her fears,
2. move to her neck and shoulders and decrease the tension there,
3. and as your peace relaxes her muscles and the tension flows out her fingertips
4. begin to move through her chest wall, let the muscles surrounding her heart relax, let her heart's rythm return to a calm state.
5. As the blood flow regulates let her feel your peace and the tension flow down through her legs and out her toes.

Dear Jesus, help her to trust you more, and stop internalizing her hurts, fears, and anxieties. Help her to cast all her cares on you because you care for her.

In Jesus HOLY name, Amen.

Re: chest pains

Sis, I am glad you have a nurse who will be checking your blood sugar level. However, you may need to go and have a check-up as soon as you can or to go to an ER. I have no clear concept about the intricacies of health care and emergency services in Brazil (other than what you have posted here), but one thing I have learned is that you "don't play around with chest pain"....

Chest pain is one of the symptoms that your body sometimes shouts to tell you: "This is critical"....Not sure, of course, that this is the case with you now. Chest pain can be caused for many reasons. Bottom line is that you work to find out the reason for your pain.

We all know that God is the Healer. Just know that you are loved and we'll be praying.

Sis. Alvear, keep someone informed if you can should you need to seek additional medical attention. I'm concerned for you. Don't mess around with chest pain or anything unusual with your heart.

Your symptoms sound like an irregular rhythm called Atrial Fibrillation because of its irregularness or it could be a paroxysmal tachycardia. It can start quickly and stop just as quickly. There are a number of causes. But Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever..........praying for you!

Sister, please have a more in depth evaluation. I will pray, but don't disregard these warning signs - especially if they are on-going.

Re: chest pains

I am praying for you. BUT, please do not sit back and wait for an appointment next week. Any chest discomfort needs to be checked out. I am speaking from experience and also a nurse. I prayed all the way to the ER and God did save me I am sure. Women do not experience the typical symptoms that men do ... women often just have a feeling of discomfort and that something is not right. I do not say these things to cause fear. I say this to you because it is better to be safe than sorry. God is the great physican and I will continue to keep you covered in prayer.

I am not a lot better but it could be worse. My family did take me to town and I forgot my card that I have to have...an hours drive from here so I am back home it is not paining just the beat is not right. I am going to try to rest in a little while.

Thanks so much for the prayers going up for me. I have been in the hospital before for this problem but it was quite a while back. Last time they said it was stress and my blood pressure was high.

Great Lord God,

We humbly ask You to cause Sis. Alvear's heart to regain its proper rhythm
and touch anything else that is not right, and for her body to line up as you
created it to be, in Jesus Name!

My heart was doing weird things earlier this year - very out of rhythm and I felt very strange. The EKG was really bad, and they told me I had PVC's, premature ventricular contractions, I think. Anyway, they changed by blood pressure meds to Toprol, and I haven't had any more problems. But it was so bad for a few days that I had to cancel a vacation to Mexico because the doctor didn't want me to leave the country. It was a very weird feeling!
