Please Pray...My uncle died

My mother's sister's husband died suddenly and unexpectedly Friday morning.

They live in Ft.Lauderdale, FL. (They are the ones we went and visited while in Tampa.)

Anyway, they have asked my husband to do the service today. We are in Ft. Lauderdale right now. We got here yesterday at 2:00 and are leaving in the morning at 6:15 (so we have to be at the airport at 5:00 a.m :girlytantrum) We fly into Kansas City at 10:56 a.m. and then have to drive 6-7 hours on to Mattoon, IL for hubby to preach. Then on Thursday, we go to St. Louis for a marriage retreat for 3 days then go back to Mattoon, then on Monday, we drive home which takes 9-10 hours.

I am already EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!! This is and has been a rough period for me, I am having a hard time with a lot of stuff right now and this was not needed.

Pray for us this evening. The service is at 7:00 pm and we have to be there for the viewing at 4:00, so we'll be there from 4-8 and then come back here to a bunch of stuff---(smoking and drinking and cussing and that kinda stuff.)

Lady Coon, my advice to you is to stay in Ft Laderdale, rent a room by the ocean and take some rest time.
Tell Coonskinner to cancel those engagments or go by himself.
If you don't listen to me you'll be sorry
You'll be in our thoughts and prayers!

I would not hang around for all the "stuff" if I were you but when you are the weakest, God will come to you with grace and His power to make you strong.

God bless you dear sister, I will remember you in prayer as I know it surely is a difficult time for you and Coon. You will see a special anointing on Him during this time of testing.

Agreeing in Jesus name. Sorry about your Uncle.

St. Mark was right, maybe spending a day or two at the beach to rest would do you good.

LCS,

I am sorry about your familys sudden loss. I will be praying for the loved ones. As far as the cussing, smoking, and drinking go I would just put my foot down and tell Coonskinner he can't do any of that.

Sis. Sarilda,

May the Lord be with you and your husband and give you both
strength and courage. Our bodies and spirits become tired and
weary but the Lord can and will lift us up. May He be with you
in all these obligations, in Jesus Name!

Blessings,

Falla39

Re: Please Pray...My uncle died

Thanks for the kind words.

Sorry it has taken so long to respond, but we've been on the run, and the Skinner has been hoggin the computer.:girlytantrum So.....I took it away from him.

Anyways, the service went very good. My husband did an awesome job. I was sooooooo proud of him, and was honored to say that he was a MY husband. My aunt was so pleased with the service and the message that she couldn't thank me enough for asking him to come. (She didn't want to put him on the spot, so I asked him for her) They had "big-wigs" in from Burger King and Arby's. He was a Quality Assurance Director in both companies at different times. He was the top dude in that department. He was such a good guy. EVERYBODY liked him. He knew how to spot the top people for the job.

The service was HUGE!!! They had to open up another room and it was full also.

I'm glad it's over. The drinking and stuff didn't get too out of hand, thank the Lord.

I went to bed at 12:30 AM and woke up at 1:30 am and then was at the airport at 4:45 am. Flew out at 6:15. Man, I'm tired!!!!

Again, thanks for the prayers and the kind words. You guys mean alot to us, and we are thankful for you.

LCS,

Glad all went well. I hate those early morning flights! I hope you get a chance to catch up on that sleep you have missed. I will keep you guys in my prayers and also your Aunt and others in the family grieving right now.

We had a wonderful time although it was a little more cloudy and rainy than we would have liked. All the days but one though the rain was just a mist that would last only about five minutes then go away.

The hard part was coming home from 75-80 degree weather to the low 20's at night! Brrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

No joke. I called before we left for the trip to ask what the weather was there and she told me that they were having a cold front coming in. I said ok, so I took light sweater material.

It was 78-80 degrees!!!! She said, "Well, that's a cold front for us." They were sitting outside on the patio with COATS on!!! I thought I was going to die. I was so hot and after it rained, I thought that the humidity was going to get me.

We flew into weather 20 or below. I about croaked.
