I will post some soon...

Three Bed...Two Bath....1700 sq.ft....

but the living room is what sold us...

15 ft vaulted ceiling with a large stone fireplace that goes from floor to ceiling...

with large glass windows near the ceiling that are cut diagonally...

Almost feels like your sitting in a lodge somewhere up in the mountains..

I will find some pics to post soon...

Wow!

Here I sit in my three bedroom, 1200 sq foot mansion that I paid next to nothing for!!!!!:tease

Good for you.

Tina and i are putting in a gas fireplace next week. It's a corner unit that is being built in. Gonna build bookshelves and a mantle that holds a 32' flat screen (only used as a monitor, of course).

btw...I ain't in California anymores....property is much cheaper out here...in OK land...

Ferd 12-03-2007 12:17 PM

Awesome. you practially need a MOBILE home in Cali just to get away from wild fires, but in Oklahoma, a more solid foundation is required to avoid being blown to Oz.

Wisdom hath surly previaled in your family in both cases

(however even going to california shows some lack there with in the first place)

My wife and California are two of greatest blessings in my life!!

Both worked together to completely change me....I thank God everyday for the day I blew in that Blond headed California Girls ear after church and she said her first two words to me....."Your Weird"...and I quote....

You got a new bus? Good for you

CC1 12-03-2007 07:21 PM

The University professor I bought my house from sold it to move to upstate New York. He was back in town a few months ago and dropped by.

I am paying about $1000 in property taxes on his old house while he is paying something like $7000 in property taxes on a less expensive home in New York!

Randy,

Your family has been on mind quite a bit the last few days - what with the weather! Quite a change from the tule fog! :jolly

I love the house - and like you, I think the fireplace would have sold me as well!

I pray you are blessed and happy in OK! :bells

Drive safe! :santathumb

Kings Kid 12-13-2007 12:13 AM

RevRandy,

You realize that the real work has just begun don't you? Now comes the task of changing everything in the house that your wife doesn't like or thinks she can make better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, not to mention that now that you have more room you naturally have to fill that room with stuff that cost $$$$$$

We have a 12x30 Storage full of the $$$$ in Stockton....we just got to get it moved to OK...that's the real battle now...

philjones 12-13-2007 08:11 AM

Congrats, Randy!

I am just confused... I have over 150 more square feet than you do and I don't have either a living room like that or a master bath like that.

Of course my home is 37 years old and I have a 350 sq foot den with a fireplace that I never need much in Louisiana so I use it as my office and library. I would give up some of the space in the den if I could have a bigger master bath. Your acquisition may inspire me to do something about the size of the master bath.

Thanks for making me want to spend money! :D

Well as you grow and expand the bath tub does seem to get smaller and smaller.....:D
