Right, it could get a little sticky! LOL! That's why I asked what others thought about it. I remember Goldie Hawn saying that she never watches anything with Kurt kissing another woman. I don't know how they can all live in peace!

They don't.......

Picky about sexual content in movies and other media. Now, I am not advocating anything goes (just in case anyone is about to jump me on that.) I am trying to investigate another part of this discussion that never seems to get addressed. Men are more liberal than woman sexually in general, I think. Men, when do you think restraints become a noose? We women just don't want our guys lusting after anyone. We want our husband's total devotion. That's good and only natural, IMO. I am wondering what you men have as lines for yourselves on these matters, or do you just let your wife carry that whole burden? What are your own personal convictions on the matter for yourselves?

I have sent emails to Netflix to get a list of the movies you have viewed Timmy. I should have the list by the end of the week.

Since I work in a library, I see what people check out all the time.

That's why I asked if God would view their actions as adultery. I think you could be ardently attracted to another man/woman, but when the touching comes in, that would be the downward spiral for me.

I'm just thinking of Catherine Zeta Jones, who is mainly, from the movies I am aware of, passionately involved with the lead man. AND if I am passionately kissing Antonio Banderas, well... will I stop at the kiss? Not if he didn't want to! LOL!

I agree for the most part, Miss B, however we can highly sensitize our children by setting the bar too restrictively, especially boys. We should communicate with our children about their bodies, and therefore desensitize them from extreme curiosity, I speak from personal experience.

It is easy for females to completely misunderstand male sexuality, a wise father is very important in this area. It is a powerful thing, and if it can be moderated by education and appropriate exposure, that is a very good thing.

This is what I am talking about. Can you elaborate on what you mean by setting the bar too restrictively and how that affected you negatively? I know this might be personal, but maybe you can generalize.

PO,
Maybe that is a bit like being horrified that a married lady has a male doctor???

I won't go to a male doctor, but I had a bad experience. Maybe it doesn't matter at all. But I don't do it.

This instruction on this subject is sorely needed!! Young boys need instruction in how to deal with their sexually very early on. I believe much of the problem with porn, is simply guys never understanding how to deal with their sexuality, and then it can become a horrible cycle of guilt.

Yes, this is what I am getting at. What if we are creating problems by overrestraint and guilt? When is enough enough?

I can say that I thought about sex much, much, more after I got into church and was taught all this stuff than before. Some was for good and some was for bad.

Well, that's why there is so much coming and going of movie stars - - they star in a movie with someone and before you know it - they are leaving their spouses for that person.

Antonio Banderas......well - 'nuff said.

I wouldn't worry about it though my wife is uncomfortable with it. I think the closest that she came to that in a play was a kiss on the forehead. I seriously wouldn't have a problem with her doing a kissing scene in a play.
