I know many are wondering why would a UPC church allow a trinitarian on the platform. But, there were bridges built last night, that I believe will help us tomorrow! I am not talking about comprimise either.

A little pre-practice of what heaven will be!!!!

You're not "just wondering" you're looking for an argument.

I don't think you're going to get one though.

And I think the comments that have come after my post have more than proven that many liberals are harsh and defensive... but if outward things mean nothing whatsoever to God, you're defensive over nothing. So, why are you defensive at all? It's no skin off your nose if a lady wishes to keep their hair long and uncut... it's no skin off your nose if a man isn't wearing his shorts above his knee.... it's not going to send anyone to hell to not cut their hair so why are you so defensive when people might actually want to embrace what you left? It shouldn't matter a lick to you.

Of course I was looking for an argument it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out...I told him, I was messin with him. Good grief, lighten up. I've already answered your question. I don't care what you wear, and I am not defensive.

Your reaction to my post is defensive and intrusive which let's me know you are insecure in your position. Instead of attacking me, you should be saying..Can't we all just get along?

If the body of Christ would ever learn to put their differences aside for the sake of the Gospel, we would not be able to contain the anointing.

I am happy for you and your church to finally move past decades old division and embrace the unity of God...How beautiful it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.

Not that is matters, but Eastwood is not my church. I married a girl from that church, we live nearby and visit. We are assisting an area Pastor.

Great, you have a beautiful spirit and I'm sure God will use your ministry greatly. Your willingness to embrace others is the beginning of true Christlikeness.

And it doesn't.:jolly:jolly:jolly By the way, I didn't leave anything or ever embrace outward appearance as salvific. You are assuming I have been delivered from something I viewed as bondage, I've never embraced it, and yes it is needless attention to nothing.

The more we focus on flesh, the more fleshly we become.

FYI.. I wrote my post before your "just messin with you" post... it appeared after however. I tend to take my time with my posts and read and re-read them before posting.

I'm not the least bit insecure... I just am calling it like I see it. Nothing defensive about it. Just wonder why "most" liberals bare their teeth when outward is even hinted at... why does it bother them? I've said that probably three times now. THAT is my point.

(Also, this is a public forum for Apostolics, nothing intrusive about me posting here at all. Unless this forum is exclusive. If it is, I'll kindly remove myself.)

I've weighed my words, and have not been rude. I haven't attacked anyone, and my posts have been generally speaking to everyone, even if I quoted something you said specifically, it wasn't because I was singling you out I assure you.

I know KC, we traveled on the same tour for 6 weeks. I would love to know his take on HOMOSEXUALITY.

Again.. wasn't speaking specifically to you...

Your statement... "The more we focus on flesh, the more fleshly we become" makes sense and yet doesn't make sense. Maybe it would make more sense if used in a different context. My long hair isn't my focus.

If your teaching your church against adultery for three weeks because God laid it on your heart that someone might be considering it... is that focusing too much on the flesh and therefore becoming more fleshly? I just don't think your statement makes much sense. Again.. maybe in a different context.. like spending too much time on the computer or watching filth or smoking your lungs black... or eating too much fast food... Then it might make perfect sense.

I'm a liberal and I don't have any problem with others keeping their outward dress convictions.

I just expect the same tolerance from them as I'm willing to show toward them.
