Okay, you are way off base. Good grief. God doesn't require it, so no one else has the right to require it either. |

Re: Sex On Church Day
DM, what happened to you this week?
Sabbath rules prevented from people doing ANYTHING on the "Lord's Day." There ceremonial laws were plenty and varied. Why don't we change the topic to: "Should we honor ceremonial laws in our society today?" In that case, let's check in with Paul and Galatians. Next, you have an interesting presupposition about what our gatherings are, the significance of "walking in the spirit" (never a pre-requisite for coming together, but an instruction toward sanctification), and an unhealthy view of sex. And finally, what is carnal about a couple, who are one flesh, enjoying each other? Isn't that in God's providence and good will? Isn't that right? Does your lust-o-meter not work on Sunday? Do you ever have impure thoughts on Sunday? Do you realize how silly it all sounds to everyone else? And to go from the question to a declaration that this is a "conviction" for the whole church is troubling. |

Re: Sex On Church Day
Hebrews 13:4 should be read.
In the original creation, God made them male and female. I'm sure Adam looked around and saw that the different animals had mates but he didn't. It wouldn't take much observation to see that there were male animals and female animals and for him to realize he was a male but there was no female for him. God said that it was not good for the man to be alone so he created someone feminine for him. |
