My pleasure ma'am. Just so long as everyone knows I'm speaking from what I've got from him reading his story & communicating with him. I can't speak for him but I do know he is a good man and caring man.

David explains it well "The fool hath said in his heart there is no God." Why be surprized anything a fool has to say?

The bible also says call no man a fool and it speaks of loving those you see as sinners. Somehow calling them fools doesn't fall under the love category.

The longer you are here the more you will find out that love, at least with some of us here from Elder Epley is like getting milk from a bull it just is not going to happen.
He has all ready set his kingdom up and made up his mind!

I was in this for 25+ yrs believe me I've seen all kinds and I've seen enough to know, even when I lived it, that that approach doesn't work. It pushes away instead of welcomes but to each his own.

I am sorry you have come to this point in your life. I know you are going to respond not to feel sorry for you but I do. I also will be praying for you. Which again I am sure you will tell me will do no good and not to bother. Never the less I will.

I do want to point out that the purpose of this forum is not to discuss whether God exists nor it is a place to advocate for atheism. I know you have not gone there yet but just want to make sure you do not. Your friend came up in the context of being a believer who has renounced God.

No, not even close and that's a poor comparison imho. It's when you accept the fact that there is no evidence outside of faith that anyone is there.

That would explain the statement "he realized there was no God" not "He realized he was an atheist", as if he had been one all along
